Immersing herself in a vast ocean of her own creation, she formed the continents of Teos Epeiros from her living flesh. Olympus or even Sigil.Ī lot of things are still in flux but I wanted to give you all a bit of an update on how this is progressing. In a time before time, when there was only darkness, the Goddess Etain came to this universe with a heart bearing desire for order and harmony. We are also looking at the logistics of incorporating the basis of a setting for legendary leveled characters, akin to Mt. We are looking to launch it in the spring after work on Dragon Tiger Ox is finished and out the door (which is more or less waiting on 2 stretch goals, final cover art, and formatting). However, as with all of our previous KS we're really looking to get the backers (particularly the high level ones) involved in the nitty gritty of what actually goes in the book. It is looking like a $10k+ affair but the resulting book is going to be something insane like 400-500 pages long. That being said, we will need to do a larger Kickstarter than we've ever done to fund it. We got Jack Holiday (the artist who did Dragon Tiger Ox with us) signed on to do a stupid number of images for this book (it's like 35+). It's going to be a massive undertaking, even using our existing books as a base. I am not sure which prestige classes we will be expanded but the CRB classes are probably good candidates for that (I personally love we have been going over a LOT of planning for this product. One would be to expand them another 10 levels and have them progress spells known (as per the existing class) so they could benefit from the expanded range of the base classes. Things like offering boons to followers, inter-pantheon conflicts, etc.Īnd we are looking at what we want to do with the prestige classes. We want divine characters to FEEL different than arcane characters. There will be a lot more emphasis on your role as a deity/high level divine agent. At this point it looks like we are keeping it that way, but rebuilding the system for divine characters, godhood, divinity scores, and the like from the ground up. This was also kind of the issue with divine characters (we are currently revamping at the moment) who don't have a true dweomer equivalent. We are likely going to progress lowers spells for everyone. This will be something we are going to be looking at when we revisit the concept. were initially intended to be able to specialize in their 10+ levels spells more but I don't know how successfully we did that. Yes, displays of incompetence would be less frequent, but they are much more hilarious.Ĭoncerning the demographics of table top gamers, is the average age of the table top gamer getting older? Or is it because of the mass exodus of table top gamers due to the release of D&D 4th Ed?Īnyhow, happy new year. Role playing at high level can be equally rewarding as low level. A new expansion pack with updated level limits always creates a mad scramble to reach the top.Įven those that play for role-playing reasons do not play characters that are utterly helpless. Gamers that play WoW, Shaiya Online etc with rare exception always seek to optimize their character. I also think many table top game companies have got it wrong concerning epic level play. I have still got that old set that you speak.Īlthough I consider 3.0, 3.5, Pathfinder to be vastly superior to D&D, AD&D, AD&D 2nd ed, some of the comparable strengths of that old system to the new is the shorter amount of time taken for combat and lower level of complexity of the combats.
